This is a fantastic Economist article (with lots of graphics), on the postponement of the elections in Nigeria (ironically we were going to start Nigeria in class on about the same day of the elections). Right now it looks like Christian southern President Goodluck Jonathan would lose, but as this article argues, with more time and much more resources he might pull ahead of Northern Islamic candidate General Muhammadu Buhari.
By the way, rather than check the Economist each day, I just look at my Economist Twitter feed to quickly see what comparative government articles there are.
